The College of Information Studies (iSchool) cordially invites you to
Fighting Disinformation to Save Democracy
PANEL DISCUSSION & RECEPTION
Tuesday, March 3, 2020 | 6:00 - 8:00 pm | The Mansion at Strathmore

Cambridge Analytica, Russian bots, and online election interference on social media has people worried that these platforms are threatening democracy...

Using false information with the intention to mislead is a technique that has been around a long time, well before we were all connected online. The internet has allowed these techniques to scale and spread, and that means we all are becoming increasingly challenged in distinguishing fact from fiction.

Join us on Tuesday, March 3rd, at 6:00 pm for a discussion among experts in the field who will talk about their work as it relates to "disinformation." Read more about the panelists and their discussion topics on the registration page.

This is a free event. Hors d'oeuvres and complimentary drinks will be provided.
